hi. today I would like to write a novel about my life that you suffer through prior to getting to the actual fucking recipe… JUST KIDDING. oh and you don’t get a fancy picture either, sorry. I forgot and ate it.
stuff you need from the store
~1 Pound Ground Turkey
~2 Sweet Potato
~2 Honeycrisp Apple (or your favorite)
~1/2 Sweet Onion
~10 Sweet Peppers (or 1 bell pepper – not green, they are of the devil)
~1 Cup Goat Cheese (we prefer the vanilla blueberry one but lots taste good – I buy 2 of the 4oz ones)
~1 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
~1 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
~1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
~1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
~3 Tablespoon Maple Syrup (or honey, agave nectar, brown sugar, etc.)
stuff you need to do
so basically start by cooking the ground turkey a bit (you can use a skillet, cook it in the oven, whatever) then peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into 1/2 inch cubes, cut the apple into 1/2 inch cubes, slice the onion, slice the peppers and combine in a bowl. Sprinkle the crushed red pepper, smoked paprika, black pepper and cinnamon all over and mix. Add maple syrup and mix again. Break apart the goat cheese (I recommend keeping it in the fridge until this step) and put in to mix up. You want it to be smaller pieces so it is dispersed. Lastly, combine everything with the turkey and add to a baking dish to bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes covered.
